Walleye Zone 10 Fishing Regulations Page (off site)

NEW: CBSA will not allow any poultry or eggs across the border as well as bait (worms, minnows-live or dead, and obviously no leeches or crayfish) into Canada. It is illegal to use crayfish (crawdads) for bait in Ontario. Only commercial bait dealers can import bait legally.

Understanding the Daily Possession Limit in the Ontario Fishing Regulations:

Example: Walleye Limit - Sport License: 4 in one day
The limit of any species is what you can have in your possession at one time. If you have 4 walleye then you can no longer fish for walleye; not even catch and release. You have to eat some or all of the 4 walleye before you can fish for more. Also if you catch 4 walleye during the day and eat them or some, you CANNOT go fish again to bring your limit back up to 4 because you have already caught your possession limit for that day, which is 4. This applies to fishing regulations everywhere in Ontario, not just in Chapleau.
