I was compelled to write and say thank to you and Doug for your awesome hospitality, great fisihing tips, and my wife and I had a great time. The reason we choose your lodge was because it was more than just a fishing lodge, yes the fishing was great,and my wife and I both got our limit of nice walleyes right on your lake. It was fun to go explore and fish other lakes too-and yes we were the only boat on most of those other lakes.These are the best cabins I have ever stayed in Canada, simply beautiful. We came for the spiritual solitude of the Canadian wilderness and we were not disappointed. We hiked and mountain biked in the largest game preserve at Crown Game Preserve- the moose viewing platforms were cool. Saw bear,foxes,and lots of loons. The flowers at Peace Park in Chapleau were amazing. Canoeing on Ruth Lake was cool. My wife really liked the hot tub. Moosehorn Lodge is truly a full service which offers great fishing and a whole lot more.

Cindy and I got home on Sunday about 3:30-4:00PM. We relived the trip over and over as we drove home, laughing about Friday night and several other occasions during the week with you and Doug and with our own experiences as well. We had a ball and we surely want and will return!! Cindy said today (first day home) she wanted to turn around and go back today, so I know she had a good time. We kept our fish frozen with help of some Dry Ice we got at a store on way home Sat. night. Now everyone wants a fish fry.
We did enjoy rekindling old friendships and times when we were young and foolish? now that we are old and foolish the young ones are even funnier and more dear to the heart! You and Doug have done Dee and Harvey proud. I know they daily look down and burst with pride.
Cabins were great, weather was great, fishing was great, and of course you were exceptionally helpful. Must be in the DNA of the family! We look forward to returning perhaps this fall but for sure within a couple of years?depends on our health, our wealth and our lust for that Northern Air and Fish.

Attached is our late nite Walleye catch from your lake on 6/22/09. We caught all six in about a 30 minute window, right at nightfall. We had to throw a couple back that were too big.
Dad and I had a great time...it was good to get away to fish and relax. Your lodge was very nice and you were wonderful hosts. The efforts you and Doug put into the operation really shows. Having the Wayne and Bonnie as neighbors only added to the fun week. Now we have to talk the girls into coming up next year.!

The Ohio guys made it home safe and sound. That's a long trip in one day / night. The next time we'll make it a two day drive each way. We had a great time, the fishing was as good as could be expected considering the crazy fall weather conditions. The cottage was the nicest we've ever stayed in. We enjoyed our stay very much - by far the nicest cabin we have ever been in. I hope that the extra expense you put into them pays off well for you and Doug.
I found the fishing better than expected - comparable to many of the flyout trips I've been on. The bass fishing on Racine Lake was outstanding - best smallmouth lake I've been on. I definitely want to do that again. Sample Lake was very good for walleyes and eater size pike. We caught our limits easily the first day and had a big fish fry that night. I don't know if anyone told you but we fished Pineal one day - caught fish all over the lake but not as good as Sample.

We had a great time at your resort and the beauty of the area is awesome. I believe the moment I remember the most is Friday afternoon when we were really catching a lot of Walleye, having a good time and I looked up into the sky and there were four eagles flying over the area we were fishing.
Your helpfulness and patience with us rookies was much appreciated, we enjoyed ourselves and the tasty walleye dinners. The guys next to us brought a plate of ruffed grouse all cooked up the first night we were there, what a treat. The next two days we were able to catch our dinner and what good eating that was.
You sure have a beautiful part of the world to live in, thanks for sharing it with us.

It was a real pleasure meeting both of you and I feel as though I made some life long friends. Your camp was just awesome and the accommodations were second to none. The cottage was spotless and extremely comfortable, and having the satellite T.V. was just out of this world. Being in the bush and having all the luxuries of home was wonderful.
I appreciate the time Doug took out of his busy schedule to go fishing with me and to show me around the area. After talking to my fishing partner about the trip we have decided to come back up in June and chase after some more Brook Trout. Once again thanks for all your help and especially the time we spent chatting by the lake. I think that was the best trip up north I ever had, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Your lodge is number #1 in my books.

My wife and I looked for a resort , that would give us some relaxation, away from it all and yet great fishing. We went in June 2005. It was perhaps, the best vacation we had in many, many years. We caught some really great fish (my picture is one their website...I am So Proud). Anyway, Roxann and Doug were fabulous hosts. We saw a lot of Moose and Bear and Eagles, some great pictures. Sorry that Dennis and I got away early Friday morning before we had the opportunity to say thank you in person before leaving. I trust you found our scribbled note and key to #7 laying at your doorstep on Friday morning.
Dennis and I had a fabulous week and want both of you to know how much we enjoyed ourselves. The accommodations were first class------as they say in the states, "five star." It was also an adventure to fish at various lakes in the area---I'm sure it'll take several years to make it to each of the lakes that are available.
We both look forward to seeing you again next fall during the same week, Sept. 9-16, 2006. Will you let us know if the 2005 rates will be applicable next year if we send you our deposit before the end of this year?
